Apparently, they've concluded most of the independents are out of reach for Obama, so their best hope is to really rile up the base and get them to vote.

It might work, but I doubt it. McCain/Palin look like two professionals while Obama/Biden look like old nasty insider politics as usual players.

Selecting Biden was their biggest mistake. Next to that was Obama's shift during his convention speech to attack, attack, attack McCain, instead of sticking with the "We're one America" philosophy that got him there.

Bottom line: KOS and Democratunderground have taken over his campaign. Big tactical mistake. Fortunately for Republicans, they have a hard time unlearning what they've learned when talking with themselves. You would think they might talk to a few Independents, instead of their hard left supporters.
