I can't let that go; Palin increased the budget of her town by a lot and lined up 27 million of earmarks using a lobbyist to boot. The State of alaska was basking in $$$$ from policies set up 20 years ago by dems which have led to a large state surplus and by the huge price increase in oil caused by Bushie stupidities in the middle east. Despite that Palin lined up the largest per capita earmarks from the fed, budget of any US governor , by far; in fact at a per capita rate over 10 times what Obama was trying for Illinois. r She would be swamped by the complexities of the US budget; in particular, because she has too much hubris and little knowledge, not that she couldn't hire good advisors.

I'll grant you that Mc Cain has been ahead on earmark cutting; too bad he didn't get through to GOP congressman Young , here in St petersburg, who is a champ. Even if he did succeed in all elimination of earmarks his screwy budget projections are pure fiction and would lead to $800 billion plus yearly budget deficits . Well why all this theory is bantied about the GOP set the stage for our US financial meltdown , in the lead Phil Gramm , Mc Cains former economic advisor.
