I try never to fight with anyone, but especially my pals, which is why I apologised for my strong reaction- it wasn't personal. :) Did you see the article posted by Bridge Player today on the path both parties are following and how wrong they are? The attacks on Palin, the frantic search for some damning personal revelation? He reaches the same conclusion as I when I see sites like Progressive LA. . I think that many voters – and not just committed Republicans – find this whole spectacle disgusting, so on top of everything else Ms Palin is now getting a sympathy vote. While I would never vote for anyone out of sympathy, I do think many might be swayed. People, as you know better than I, are motivated to make decisions based on any number of unrelated things. Also, the more we talk about these things, the less time we spend comparing the real positions, as Lane's funny cartoon illustrated so well.
