All the gains with perhaps the exception of gay rights, I think are sliding back to more conservative thinking. We have been sliding towards more conservative thinking since 1980, and while abortion is at a stand still, the rest are all going towards the liberal position. If you want to define it as the last eight years, I still am missing the actual impact beyond all of the rhetoric. Am I missing a widespread increase in the teaching of creationism in schools (or even ID)....or a drop in the amount of sex on TV? Has it become illegal to burn the flag? I would say one issue where I think conservatives are probably winning is gun control. Slacker
