I don't either. But then the campaign continues and Obama hasn't won yet. We don't know how the R's might react after losing a particularly vicious campaign.

I had never given any thought to the projection that Drum makes and it sounded odd to me when I read it. That the two campaigns produced culture wars seemed scant rational for such a projection, but I found the idea interesting.

Slacker -

Let's see what happens if he wins the Electoral vote but not the popular vote. I imagine the Right will develop a much greater antipathy for him if that happens.

Even if he wins both the popular and Electoral votes, I think the Right wing hatred of him will increase exponentially.
