9/11 was a single event, caused by a small group of extremists. It could've been easily headed off by an executive order to boost security at airports. Had not Chimp Bush been sleeping at the wheel or on vacation at the Pig Farm, this may have been the case. The Housing bubble, the systematic excessive risk (excessive leveraging) taking by the investment bankers and mortgage outfits, the misrepresentation of risk in ABCP and so-called sub-prime market products was a festering blister that rotted over many years and only came to a head in recent months. This was out there like a huge pile of turd. And the lack of leadership in the WH failed to address the problem. Bush wouldn't have a clue as to what initiatives to take anyways. A leader has some smarts and would be able to judge the options presented to him. That's what a leader is for. Time and time again your Bush has failed miserably. He's a total failure. McCain is cut from the same loin clothe. Support that chump at your peril.
