it's one of their last bastions of control along with the dollar both soon to fail as well "Why gold aint flying is beyond me..."

Right. Because the treasuries are perceived to be safe
in debt deflation. Never mind the US government is the
biggest debtor on the planet, and its debt just doubled
with FNM/FRE takeover. I wonder why the credit rating
of the US government does not matter to deflationists <G>

We just might see the dollar drop and gold rally after the
cut that's coming today.
