My dreams were mostly limited to trying to figure how to get out of the lower levels of the ship after it rolled over. I still have an occasional shudder at the thought of the hatches to the escape trunks being locked with the engineers still being below. Silly, I know.

On a more humorous note, when we would come in from a cruise, it would take me a few days to stop pushing the wife out of the bed in my sleep...those damn bunks were just too close.

My Dad was in the Marines in WW2...........Tulagi and Guadalcanal..............I come from a large Italian family, had eight uncles in WW2, Army, Navy Air Force......My mothers brother was killed at Anzio, he was married to my fathers sister......i didn't know him, i was born in 1950..........
