OT

Just got back from San Francisco late this afternoon (Monday) and was sitting in the SFO airport when my wife exclaimed the market had closed down over 500. She could see the CNN monitor behind me ( I couldn't see it). I turned around to see the numbers and just shook my head. Strangely I was not worried. Got back to SEATAC and headed home to fire up the computer and see what was happening. My solar stuff held up much better than I expected.

Boy I would not touch any of the banks, what a mess. Bargains are coming really soon. There is a lot of stuff I want to buy but I'm being patient. I have a lot of cash I want to put to work but I am waiting. My best friend has Lehman Brothers Preferred and I told him about a week ago to sell. I think he has lost all of it now. The Fed is not going to save those guys this time. So I think we will see more of the investment banks die really soon. The commercial banks will pick among the ruins and win in the end.

Pretty sad stuff.

I'm scheduled to drive the Roadster on Sept 27th here in the Seattle area (actually Bellevue) at 9AM. Will let you know how it goes. Tesla will have a car up here so area customers can get a close up look and feel. From what they told me the Seattle area has the most on order after the LA and Silicon Valley areas of the country.
