bankrupcy is failing in this case. This is not a quasi-govt co. like fannie and freddie. That was a swap of ownership. This will be like lehman if it goes under. That means if you have an AIG life policy and die, you might not get paid. If you are in a car accident, forget about it. And since aig is in 30 countries world wide the above goes for klaus and wang too.

I know people are saying that Ike was not nearly as bad as expected but the photos coming out of TX are very disturbing. There was an awful lot of destruction......not unlike NOLA.
