That was my argument. I think it was uncalled for and should, instead, have been treated as such.

As I see it the problem with your thinking is that Americans might be able to go to the mall - but what about those of us who want to go visit other parts of the world?

I don't see a cognitive problem with recognizing that half a loaf is better than none.
