John;

re: earmarks;

I don't think it's the worst evil since Satan was banished from the angel crowd

No me either and isn't it weird that spending on projects in America is taking such a hit? I wonder if even the bridge to nowhere might have been worth the money? Do you want to spend our tax money on bridges so that we are not dependant on ferries - or do you want to send a billion dollars to Georgia to rebuild their bridges that were destroyed because our President encouraged Georgia to do something really dumb? We get good paying jobs on the bridge project and great infrastructure and we get nothing but a bill for the money going to Georgia. It is insane what Americans are complaining about and equally as insane as to what they are not complaining about.

I would rather see earmarks and riders go. Of course that just means a different process would be used, not that the projects which currently get federal funding all vanish. McCain does deserve credit for a number of things he has pushed IMO. This campaign is not bringing out his better side.
