Barack Obama is now speaking and giving us a list of things we should do about the economy. He's also speaking of leadership and took a pot shot at McCain for his 7 houses.

Here's a question to Freshman Senator Obama. When have you ever shown leadership in the past? Did you show it in the Senate? While a state Senator? As a community organizer? Exactly when?

I suppose past performance is no guarantee of future performance, so if one is willing to invest their emotional hope in a candidate, then he is your man.

You've hit the nail on the head.

I'm lost when it comes to defining what type of person would put him/herself through the bureaucratic morass of public office at the national level.

Our country has done itself a great disservice when it comes to building a gene pool for future office holders. Not too many folks like to live in a fish bowl.

And I don't think the, "It's a shitty job, but someone's got to do it!" statement works very well in this situation, either.
