Barack Obama is now speaking and giving us a list of things we should do about the economy. He's also speaking of leadership and took a pot shot at McCain for his 7 houses. Here's a question to Freshman Senator Obama. When have you ever shown leadership in the past? Did you show it in the Senate? While a state Senator? As a community organizer? Exactly when? I suppose past performance is no guarantee of future performance, so if one is willing to invest their emotional hope in a candidate, then he is your man. Keep reading those teleprompters Barack....

Probably just another reason we have a limited group of people who want to run for political office... You've hit the nail on the head. I'm lost when it comes to defining what type of person would put him/herself through the bureaucratic morass of public office at the national level. Our country has done itself a great disservice when it comes to building a gene pool for future office holders. Not too many folks like to live in a fish bowl. And I don't think the, "It's a shitty job, but someone's got to do it!" statement works very well in this situation, either.
