McCain Invented the Blackberry? The remark clearly referred to McCain's support of telecommunications, not the Blackberry in the man's hand. This is the same kind of thing people here jump on me all the time for.

An advisor to McCain said, essentially, that McCain's work on the Commerce Committee had helped to fuel growth in the telecommunications industry. Now I've seen it being reported that McCain claimed to have invented the Blackberry. That is as distorted as the oft-reported story about Al Gore claiming to have invented the Internet, which of course he never said. - Allen
