Obama claims to be supportive of the individual right to own a gun, but supports what he calls "common sense" regulations, a clear violation of the Second Amendment clause which says the "right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." I don't wish to resume the argument over the first clause about militias, which to me is clear but others use it to obfuscate the issue. Then Obama picks Joe Biden for his VP running mate. Biden is a long time enemy of the right to keep and bear arms.
