Pickens got nasty phone calls and flip flopped on his "Drilling aint going to solve this problem" message. It's part of the GOP lie (=platform) that drilling will fix the problem in the short or medium term. Anyone who knows anything about oil fields development and exploration knows that it takes many years to get a significant production of oil (if ever) from an exploration area. It wont be until 2030 that it comes.
