my dad was drafted by mistake into the british army at the start of ww2, and put in training for recon for 2 weeks until they realized that a terrible mistake had been made. they let him go, but paper processing took a while, so he chilled, and observed and drew political cartoons to pass the time. while in training, he was told that recon units go is folks of three, one a hundred yards ahead of the other, and should the second and third guy hear gun shots, turn back immediately, never minding the first guy. that was not recon in force but stealth, and discovered a such :0) the recon in force guys typically do not make it back in any ratio close to 2/3 :0) stratfor is so phucked they do not even realize they are so, and that is what makes them so much fun to read.
