Yes Lizzie, being Canadian makes a person uniquely qualified to answer what is going on in Australia. Maybe you should check Australia and attacks and disobedience by Muslim groups. Even to the point of circling police with crowds and not attacking them while they are attempting to do their jobs. question for you if you are actually Canadian. Whats up with Australia? There is an alarming number of right wing idealogues coming out of there, and one of them (Murdoch) has had an immense effect on the right wing in the USA, for the worse obviously. The ex-REPUBLICAN governor of VA is out campaigning with Obama now. The republican Hamilton-Baker commission were employed to try to figure out the mess in Iraq and made some perfectly reasonable recommendations... these are guys from the republican party 15+ years ago. Murdoch had a hand in turning the republican party into a bunch of hysterical bigots. Theres a lot of Aussies that actually support Howard and right wing policies. Whats up with that? You would THINK Australia would be more like Canada.

Australia has the same urban/rural political divisions as Canada, USA and other countries in Europe etc.. You know there's the rugged indivualistic outback types that support a right wing agenda there. Just as out west here in Canada there's many RWE's also. Only here in Canada they're more under control. It takes a good antibiotic to control infestations.
