Kind of an elitist attitude- considering a lot of religions- like the Shakers- were really communists- in the true sense of the word. I can't thing of any group much more The People than the Shakers.<<

I'm having trouble picturing the Shakers "taking on and destroying the establishment," which was the framing. Setting up an enclave, not so much.
