And may I add that a key component of the Rovian strategy is turning your opponent's greatest asset into a liability.

Kerry's status as a decorated veteran impugned. A judge in Alabama who had worked all his life to help disadvantaged children accused in a whisper campaign of being a homosexual pedophile. Things like that. It's like political judo.

In this case, that may have been slightly modified. McCain is just trying to take over Obama's message about change. But of course they're still doing the whole baseless smear thing.
