Excellent piece and right on the money! Condemning Sarah Palin, because she doesn't meet some preconceived notion of what elite means and that elite's make better leaders, or better Presidents or Vice Presidents, is narrow minded and defies logic.

In fact; it's illogical, lacks critical thinking and is bigoted.

Some of the greatest leaders in history have come from humble backgrounds, not unlike Sarah Palin.

Whether she's elected and becomes a great leader is an open question at this point. However, I would say she has a better than 50% chance of it, based on her performance as Governor of Alaska. She appears to have courage, integrity, grit and determination.

On the other hand, Obama has accomplished next to nothing as an elected official, except to serve his personal need for achievement. And if there is one thing the past twenty years has shown, the last thing our country needs is another narcissistic personality sitting in the White House.

Obama is not ready to be sitting in the Oval Office, both emotionally and intellectually. He hasn’t demonstrated one iota of ability to work across the aisle the way John McCain has. He’s a freshman Senator in every way and every measure. He possesses at his core a polarizing personality. His me centered worldview and natural gravitation toward the most radically left ideological personalities, both private and public, represent a clear and present danger to America.

Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Obama, Kennedy and others will lurch the country dramatically left if given unfettered power.

If you want socialism, vote for Obama.

If you want America, vote for the veto power of McCain.

It’s as straightforward as that.

And there is no turning back after 49 days.

Re McCain in Ohio Today: Thanks! It should be fun, if we don't talk about politics...Out of the bunch of us, I'm the only one who is right....<ggg>

LOVED what McCain said today, and in fact will put it on the bottom here, in case anyone is reading this... Hopefully, he will be that good every other one of the 49 days left.

As far as Laura Ingraham is concerned...She'd make an excellent public servant too, and at the highest level, but I'm not sure she ever would run for office. As we've said before, it takes a VERY special person and their family as well, to put up with everything that the know-not-muchs fling their way.

McCain in Ohio today:

Now I believe America’s best days are ahead of us. Governor Palin and I are going to reform Wall Street. We’re going to reform Washington. I’m going to fight for you and I’m going to lead our nation forward in the greatest periods of prosperity in its history. And let’s have some straight talk. Senator Obama is not interested in the politics of hope, he’s interested in his political future and that’s why he’s hurling in insults and making up facts about his record.

Today, he claimed that the Congressional stimulus package was his idea. That’s news to those of us in Congress who supported it. Senator Obama didn’t even show up to vote. He talks a tough game on the financial crisis, but the facts tell a different story. Senator Obama took more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than anyone but the chairman of the committee they answer to. And he put Fannie Mae’s CEO, who helped create this problem in charge of finding his Vice President. That’s not change, that’s what’s broken in Washington. He talked about siding with the people, siding with the people, just before he flew off to Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends.

Let me tell you, my friends, there is no place I’d rather be, than here, with the working men and women of Ohio. I’m going to fight for you and together we’re going to win in November.
