Yep, the FED can create money out of thin air. It's magic. All they need to do is add a $1,000,000,000 entry to the credit ledger and bingo, a billion dollars appears.

To stave off a global crisis earlier this evening, the FED created an $85,000,000,000 entry onto AIG's credit ledger and temporarily derailed calamity.

Well, at least for another few months. Rumor has it that McCain and Cindy would prefer to move into their new digs on 1600 Pennsylvania NW without Western civilization on the brink of collapse.

'There is no need to worry about the balance sheet.'

Our current VP says no need to worry about deficits. Helecopter Ben, a student of the depression, will continue to add fuel to the fire if need be. Best we can hope for is stay near low double digit yearly growth in broad money supply for years to come.. Probably next to impossible with each passing day..
