The mystifying effect of Palin is fading. The economy as the main issue is taking hold. Gen. Odierno is making it sound that the claim of victory due to the surge is looking more like the "Mission Accomplished" fiasco and most importantly, McCain's record as a master deregulator is being revealed. With Palin, the Troopergate is coming to the fore. Her agreeing to cooperate before her candidacy and her refusal now will indeed have some negative effect on the ticket.
