I think that this is a silly article. the haircut that aig shareholders are taking doesnt encourage investors to put their money in opaque behemoths and it remains to be seen whether the government loan to aig will result in financing costs for aig to normalize. AIG was a very unique company, and its shocking for me to see it come tumbling down like this.
