The original pipeline was built in 3 years - over 800 miles.

Basically on unproven building techniques.

This is just the first segment. It will go to Delta - at which time the Canadians must be competitive on their access fees or it goes west to Valdez via the deep water port and existing infrastrucure of the Valdez oil pipeline.

This pipeline has been designed and debated for well over 10 years.

With oil peaking the state has the money to do it themselves. This has resulted in the oil companies either getting competitive or being on the outside looking in.

The government will have emminent domain to accelerate the build.

We need to have confidence in our abilities, rather than negative distractions.

That is not to say there are not challenges. We just been stalled so long on interest group distractions that many misinformed well intended people have just about accompished nothing.

These misdeeds are the basis of your previous post and I believe are not only errant - but HUGELY DESTRUCTIVE BY DESIGN!

My intelligence is not any better than most - my ability to see negative roadblocks to successful programs that should not be given credibility is perhaps better than the average guy who blindly accepts this dis-information that is put out there by greedy self interest groups.

All by the way - JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION !!
