they are in a two year bankrupcy in reality. The big insurance cos. will buy their valuable insurance pieces. Firms like GE will buy netjets. The bad paper will be dumped in a fund and sold for pennies on the dollar to a hedge fund. Then they will pay off Uncle and the shareholders get whats left. There will be money there but 80% of that goes to Uncle.

I bought 100 shares of AIG, just as a flyer and as a patriotic measure. I've been making so much money shorting the American market, it was the least I could do..

It's currently totally underwater.
