Dividends can be cut, so don't count 100% on them.
Also, I don't recall if GE Capital is still in the
fold or was spun off about 10-12 yrs. ago.(Problem?)
I worked at GE, not for them, for 3-4 yrs in the mid
'90s, before Welch retired. The employees loved Welch,
and he made many millionaires. Immelt hasn't made his
mark yet. Jack is probably still a consultant, though.
I might still be there, but for a 90 minute one-way
commute.

Just bought a couple hundred GE. My broker
quoted $23.77, up from Yahoo! RTC at $23.00 in
the time it took to call him. After the call,
GE went across the ticker on CNBC at $24+.
Bad s/t timing, but it'll all be good l/t.
Broker said 5.21% div.

I gotta get ACH set up on my online broker acct.!
