Looking over the day, hard not to conclude that the capping operators have finally encountered more pressure than they can handle. Significant that TOCOM has seen steady reduction in shorts. Unless some new super-jawbone-debt-bomb comes into action, we may be seeing the short-covering rally of a lifetime in the metals. Could mean life-or-death rescue for some of the jr miners. Next question: with no safe place left to go, will $$ start to reflate the sabotaged commodities boat too? Interesting that various analysts from Sinclair to Roger Wiegand called for major relief "just after the 15th." They must have been anticipating the Lehman death watch a month ago. Fingers crossed that we don't get all the global CBs rushing to abandon ship at once. Woof.
