Good news and bad news.

Obama is back in the lead on Intrade's, Gallup's, and Reuter' overall head to head contest, but is still behind on the state by state electoral vote race according to Intrade, electoral-vote, and fivethirtyeight.

The way this normally works is that the national polls will lead and then the state by state polls will follow. So when we saw McCain take a lead in the national polls, then the state by state electoral college race polls followed within one week. Now we're seeing Obama pull ahead in the national polls again, which means a week or two from now the state by state polls will put him ahead in the electoral college race.

I'm still crossing my fingers, but am mad as hell that Americans are this flaky and thoughtless as to who their President and VP should be. I mean I'm pretty old and this is the biggest no brainer in my lifetime. Why can't everyone see that? I'm flabbergasted.
