Well, I'm for any solution that is different than what we have now. And btw, as I've stated before, I side with Republicans on pretty much most issues: abortion, small gov't, strong military, fiscal responsibility, drill everywhere, social security. The problem is that Republicans haven't been living up to their talk on those issues, which is why I've abandoned them.

At the end of the day, the thing that decided me is that I picked one issue that became my biggest issue: energy. I want a comprehensive solution to get us to oil dependence. I know it is possible, even if no one on this thread thinks it is. With a good plan to conserve, use renewable energy sources, and drill everywhere, we could be independent of oil within 20 years. But we have too many naysayers and small thinkers in America nowadays. And that's just too bad.

But at least the Dems have the same vision and are willing to give it a shot. The Republicans have become the do nothing and say we can't achieve anything party. So they won't get my vote until they go through a Neocon purge and get back to the old Republican roots that used to make me proud.

Bottom line is that I'm for my country first and party second. And right now, voting for Republicans would be bad for this country.
