OT: The Steve Jobs rumor is bunk... he had a rare form of pancreatic cancer... 95% of pancreatic patients die within 1-2 years from diagnosis... fortunately for Steve, he had a rare form that is actually quite curable... he had the surgery and is cancer free... however, removing some or all of ones pancreas is still quite serious as that's were the body gets insulin... hence Steve's struggle to balance diet, etc... not to mention he is now in his 50s...

Now, the successor issue is quite serious and it seems apparent that Steve is unable or unwilling to lay out a clear succession... for that reason, many investors, including me, would not continue to hold AAPL shares if Steve were to leave... but there is absolutely no evidence that Steve will be leaving any time soon... indeed, he is probably looking for ways to stay in control 100 years after he's dead -- he IS a control freak... I'm sure a number of people profited from spreading the health rumors, but the fact is that he'd already be dead if his cancer had not been treated successfully.

Sorry, I'm not the AAPL expert here. Have to pass the microphone to JimisJim. He's forgotten more about that one than I'll ever know.

Suggest U direct your query to him.

TIA
