Bush is hardly very far to the right. McCain is even less so.

It is Cheney who ran this country always and Bush was his puppet. I say so after seeing how the firing of Rumsfeld was carried out. Cheney was kept in the dark by Bush on his decision to fire Rummy. Bush also took the opportunity of the Republican house loss to stick it to Cheney. And Cheney is very far to the right.

With a President McCain, we are going to have a similar situation with Sarah Palin and the neocons holding the real power.

I say "Enough".

>>He's registered as a Democrat, caucuses as a Democrat (giving them their majority in the Senate), tried to run for his seat as a Democrat (and then took it as an Independent not a Republican), votes with the Democrats a majority of the time, etc.

That outweighs endorsing a Republican for president.

That candidate agrees with Bush about almost everything, which puts him pretty far to the right.

Tim -

You're entitled to your own opinions. They're not facts, though. I disagree with you on each of those two points.

I think Lieberman occupies a unique space within American politics, for which I don't fault him at all. In fact, I admire his independent spirit. He does appear to be a man who sticks by his principles. However, the same can't be said for John McCain. And thus, I find myself questioning the judgement of anyone, of either party, who supports him.
