Yes, I know.... Per-capita the largest recipient of federal earmarks of any State in the Union and, for that matter, also the largest per-capita beneficiary of federal spending. (Not to mention the quasi-socialist nature of the State economy... with private oil firms being accessed directly on their revenues and checks mailed to the State's citizens... a system very much like what Chavez is trying to set-up in Venezuela.) Yep... Socialism is USUALLY POPULAR when you are the one receiving the checks! <g>
