Then why have the polls reversed? People saw the Palin mirage, then the Palin reality. A brief bubble, then the bubble burst. The more she talks, the more her numbers decline. I hear yesterday she even changed her story about how quickly she accepted McCain's offer. To Gibson, she said it was right away - without even blinking. Apparently, the story changed when talking to Hannity - that she consulted her family first. If you can't keep your story straight, you should at least allow a couple of interviews to intercede before you change your story. People who can't help but lie about the simplest things have a tendency to also lie about things that matter.
