I'm actually optimistic -- much more so than I was on 9/12 after the mess inherited from the Clinton Administration. While the current financial crisis is not a good thing, it is predictable and survivable. But most importantly, the United States has been protected from further terrorist attacks which is the first order of business. I see one major mistake the Bush administration has made -- and it was a biggie -- he stuck with Rumsfeld and Casey longer than he should have. I know you want to blame him for this mess, but that is just ultra-partisan racket for the naive.
