Since I was on the firing range beating all the men... smile at the NRA course on handling and shooting.... I have not handled the gun. My sister has done it. She has more confidence and is less fearful and ready to protest us...as we the two of us live on two acres with no close neighbors.

But people in NC are so nice I do not really fear them.
It was when the house was first built that we had stragglers who were lost on the the trails through the National Park coming to the door at 8pm and later.(dark) AND I usually drove them to their car which they had parked miles away.

I would open the door and Sue would stand behind it with the gun... It was rather funny to think about it. I don't really think she could use it either but having it made us feel more secure.

WE have deer, wild turkeys, beaver as they love to build dams on the river, ground hogs and if we even hear a gun shot we are alarmed as someone might be shooting our pals.
