Short-term effects being the exact opposite of longer-term effects of the very same stimulus? ... probably not unknown in markets ... and in life generally - just compare your outlook and sense of well-being in the immediately subsequent period compared with the next morning, the last few times you tied into a really big jug of porchclimber

In the few minutes of that move today, it was likely pure kneejerk for some to dump gold and buy breakout on downtown markets ... then once it starts, others pile on, doesn't take long ... life goes on though, afterwards

The gold move this week had a feel of short-covering? ... plus options expiration, plus just general upsetedness ... exciting times, i think at the end of the day a lot of people will like to hold a little gold and silver right firm in their hot little hands, where they know what's up with it
