It would be hard to imagine everybody winning at least over the medium to long term
All of this is hyperinflationary which must lead to a bear market in bonds (higher rates). Higher rates will lead to lower multiples for stocks and should also lead to lower consumer spending which will be a wicked combo (lower earnings plus lower multiples).
There will also be less leverage and risk taken in the market which will lead to lower multiples for stocks.
Going short is going to be difficult now so the play is gold and gold only. The rest is noise.
What the U.S. needs is another armed conflict. There is way too much attention on the economy going into an election.
Be right and sit tight and don't worry about it so much. One should only be concerned if one actually believes that the buck has value. If you believe that sell your gold.

RS,

A pundit can be found to support any point of view. Ultimately each of us must decide what we believe to be true.

"Without faith in his own judgement, no man can go very far in this game. This is about all that I have learned... to study general conditions, to take a position, and stick to it. I can wait without a twinge of impatience. I can see a setback without being shaken, knowing that it is only temporary, because it is the big swing that makes the big money for you." - Jesse Livermore

John,
Market certainly nuts!

I do not expect perfection from you. No sweat. I am a big boy and can make my own decisions.
POG lifting off again. No surprise from what Swampdogg was saying!
:)
This bozo says someone/something still has to take the hit for the mess in the global financial markets! Hopefully it will be the US$ now?
Take care,
DT
