letting us invest our social security taxes in a 401K like vehicle that let's us invest in target date retirement funds. The gov't can mandate that we pay in the standard social security tax rates and that we can't take the money out until we reach retirement age, but let us invest it ourselves and tag the money to our own social security numbers.
