I'd rather go to the dentist and get all my teeth pulled than become a politician. A candidate for State Rep declared at a Candidates Night I attended declared that he was on the front page of the LA Times and the NY Times. Because he tracks UFOs. I decided not to vote for him. I voted for a lady who talked about 'value engineering' because I know all about that. Well, not all, but I've done it. We were the only two in the room who knew what the hell it was. She won the primary.
