That would be fine with me. If we're in that deep of $hit, shut down BUYING and SELLING both - but don't just tie the hands of the bears.

Shut it down for a year, for all I care. A year from now, the regional bank equity will be worthless, as they'll be charred, burned out victims of their reckless lending. RTC-II won't fix that. Hank isn't gonna give bank bagholders a free pass. He may have gotten a little panicky here, but he still isn't guaranteeing any equity. Massive capital raises will still need to be done.

Retail will be gone, and commercial real estate will be smoldering wreckage. If it avoids me having to worry about my exposure while they print 20% up days on financial sector measures, shut it all down for a year. Let's square up next September...<ng>
