There were no deficits in LBJ, Carter years???
And of course dont forget overtaxation was a problem in the 50s and 60s too and there were multiple recessions.
Also clinton got lucky because he got to sop up all that excess liquidity with taxes, thus making him look better while at the same time he left the new president with a tech wreck. Lets be fair here. Also more to it than just deficits.
