Tim, I try to explain to you what "is" and you come back with articles that discuss either what 'used to be' or what 'should be'. That's why I think of you as a close-minded mule trying to defend the status quo during a period of unprecendented financial events. Much of the time you're also defending a system, for ex. recent commodity trading, that no longer exists.

That's all....no big deal....and this is my last post on the subject.

Tim, I forgot to say this though and it's something we might agree on. It's simply that I'm almost horrified at the decision of the SEC to outright ban shortselling on the financial services industry. Changing a rule of this magnitude in the middle of the game is shocking and such a distortion of the pricing to equilibrium mechanism that it leaves me almost speechless.

It might make sense and prove wise at some point in the future, but for now I'm scratching my head. Actually I'm profoundly sad today at this weeks' events re the capital markets and the incredible cost the treasury is undertaking to perhaps fix things.....I said 'perhaps' purposely.
