I knew several people who voted for Bush Jr., and the voted the second time almost out of a sense of glee that "liberal democrats" might get taken down a notch. I suppose that is what Rove tries to describe as "elitist". They also had the Nader line of thinking that it really didn't matter who was President, that the office almost ran on auto-pilot based on bureacracies. They have definitely changed their tune now. They tried the "regular guy" now they are ready for something of a little higher caliber.
