"It shows that there was legitimate reasons to push for dismissal, not just a personal vendetta."

Wooten was investigated and punished. Sarah and her family thought it was insufficient. So they kept complaining before she was elected. Apparently after she was elected, her family continued the complaints, despite Sarah being warned that doing so raised the issue of a conflict of interest. Given that she was trying to over-ride procedure, that smacks of vendetta.

No one claims that Wooten is a great guy. But there are rules and procedures for a reason. Palin was trying to get around the rules. Governors don't have that power.

Palin has given at least 4 different stories for dismissing Monegan, some of which are contradictory.
