MMF's, by definition are very short term, usually commercial paper. So the props don't have to be put on for long. They also need to reregulate that induustry, and more narrowly define what investments can go in a money market if it's gonna be eligble for insurance. Should not be a hugely expensive undertaken, but an important stability building step.
