Defense Secy Gates is saying a lot of good things. Check the NYTimes for his discussion of the world in England. A lot of self deprecating humor and a keen understanding of the failures of go it alone. Somewhere between unilateralism, wrecklessness and hyper bravado on one side and appeasement and fecklessness on the other lies the place where fp should be made.
Paulson is also gained much stature. Too bad they werent there at the start rather than the usual suspects who used to run Bush admin.

If the exit polls on election day overstate Obama's support vs. when the votes are counted, then I will believe significant numbers of people didn't vote for him because he is black.

Until then, this is just BS.

There certainly are far more people voting for him solely DUE to his blackness than won't vote for him because of it.
