Interesting article on mark to market. Like a two edged sword. As an aside, I monitor short term oversold conditions based on standard deviations from the 10 day moving average in individual stocks. At the height of capitulation at the 2002 lows, the reading was 280. That was the most oversold I have ever seen. This week on Thursday morning we hit 485 – yikes. We are now at 89.
