There is no denying reason, racism has a foundation in fear and ignorance. People are reasonably threatened by anything that does not validate them, and their fear of 'others' may drive them to ignore information that contradicts the basis of that fear. People of conscience are able to reasonably determine the logical flaws endemic in racial bigotry.

Everyone operates on some degree of bias on all characteristics and issues. However, the vast majority of people do not operate on racial bigotry, or any other extremism. Racism, like terrorism, will never be entirely eliminated from human society. That being the case, the racism that does exist can be exploited in a corrupt manner to attach evil motives in a fraudulent manner, to suspend reason, and to spread baseless suspicion. Not that its a big surprise but just out of curiosity, why do you support that?

The fact that you can find some racists in the Republican party is irrelevant. There are probably an equal proportion of bigots in every large population of human beings, usually lurking in shadows. It just takes the right situation to bring them into visible light.

The current issue surrounds the fanning of racism within the Hispanic community to get votes. The character assassination directed at McCain was founded upon falsehood to get a dramatic emotionally charged racist reaction from the hispanic community. Barack did that, the reaction was tremendous. You seem to be in full support that sort of thing, right? Lizzie had no problem admitting it, so why are you bobbing and weaving?
