Texas use their oil money in a way that might smack of... socialist? laughing. I am a born Texan. I thought there was nothing so grand as to be a Texan. we were annoyed y'all were 'bigger'. we had to change to lyrics to our state song, ya know. you are right. frankly, why do we not nationalize all oil and coal and metals etc for the good of the people??? Alaska has shown a wise path in that regard that we as a nation could follow to our greater good, not the good of a few individuals.
